Attachment-Focused EMDR Therapy, Online
For the wounds that started early, in the relationships that were supposed to keep you safe.
Is this you?
Maybe you've done talk therapy and understand why you feel the way you do, but it hasn't changed how you feel. You might notice:
A harsh inner critic that sounds a lot like a parent
Feeling too much in relationships, or shutting down completely
A sense that something is wrong with you, without a clear "big" trauma to point to
Standard EMDR, or the idea of it, feeling like too much, too fast
What makes AF-EMDR different
Standard EMDR targets specific traumatic memories. Attachment-focused EMDR, developed by Dr. Laurel Parnell, adds more preparation and resourcing first, so you have a felt sense of safety and support before working on painful memories. It's especially helpful for neglect, emotionally unavailable parents and relational trauma, where the harm came from what was missing as much as what happened.
The pace is set by you. Sessions use bilateral stimulation (eye movements, tapping or sounds) and work just as well over telehealth.
